When you are driving for long period of time, take some break for a short walk; it can be useful not only for your legs.
If you are travelling by train or airplane, get up often and walk for at least 20 steps. If you are forced to stay sit (bus, underground etc..) lift up your feet toes and heel (at least 20 times).
Keep under control your weight: overweight damages your veins.
During the summer vacation by the sea, make long walk in the water up the waist.
